With the Western Reserve Conference Championship meet only one day away, the swim team is poised to make an impact. With limited time in the pool for practice due to winter break, meet schedule, and snow days, the teams hard work during the beginning of the season is proving to pay off.
Coming off wins for both the Boys and Girls team at the Panther Invitational, and a great showing on Tuesday against tough Riverside, Perry, and Mentor teams, the swimmers look to carry the momentum into the conference meet.
The Boys team is off to a incredible start, going an undefeated 7-0 in dual meets so far this season. The drive to prove that they can be even better than their record states, is going to make big waves come Saturday. With a few top qualifying times and many swimmers hungry to post personal best times, they are focused on turning some heads and making people take notice of the team in black and orange.
The Girls team has started out strong as well. With only two losses so far, the 5-2 girls team is starting to realize that they too have earned a reputation as a VERY tough team to beat. The depth at almost every stroke and the most swimmers the team has had in recent memory, has proven to push these girls to post great swims meet after meet. Expect Saturday to be no different.
Flying under the radar is not an option. These swimmers are coming for the best teams out there, and they better be ready.
Meet starts at 11:10am at Spire institute 5201 SPIRE Circle, Geneva, OH 44041
